Julie Knight

Founder & Principal

Julie Knight, MBA, is the founder and principal of Jewelled, a privately held real estate firm she launched in 2021 to acquire and manage single-family rental properties across Alabama. The portfolio spans long-term and short-term rentals built for quality housing, steady cash flow and value that compounds over time.

Julie brings more than 15 years of public finance experience to every deal. Her career includes budget and fiscal analysis roles with the Alabama Executive Budget Office, the Alabama Legislative Services Agency and Montgomery County, Maryland. That background shapes how she underwrites: disciplined, governed and built for the long term.

She is also a partner and the Finance & Investment Lead at Capital City Development Group, where she leads financial strategy, underwriting and capital structuring for workforce housing and community-anchored development in Montgomery.

Julie writes The Jewelled Letter, a newsletter on capital, stewardship and long-term wealth. She attended Alabama State University as a Presidential Scholar and was named to ASU's 50 Under 50, Class X.

“Capital is a responsibility before it is an opportunity. Jewelled is built on governed capital and stewardship: clear structures, aligned partners and patient execution, so that value compounds and is revealed over time.”
